How does knowing the neuroscience help?
You can understand WHY your body and your mind might be responding a certain way in different places or around different people.
When stressed, anxious etc you can now make sense of why it's so difficult to focus, remember something, to be on time, to be present in conversation, to be organised and so on.
If you have ADHD, Autism or dyspraxia your PFC might be less active or less developed and therefore executive functioning can be harder.
Understanding the science behind executive functioning can help us to be a little bit more compassionate to ourselves when we’re struggling.
